Play WeKoPa Golf Club While Visiting Scottsdale

No golf trip to Scottsdale would be complete without playing at least one round of golf at WeKoPa Golf Club, either on the original Cholla Course or the newer Saguaro Course each one presenting 18 separate and challenging holes.

I played there recently on one glorious February day, no wind to speak of, temperatures in the low 70's, the golf course in immaculate condition. Here are some highlights. And in case you are wondering, the golf course won again.

Going to the U.S. Open at Pebble Beach!

This could be my retirement tournament as a TV golf spotter for network coverage of the PGA Tour after nearly 20 years. Read all about it and follow my updates at Inside the Ropes at a U.S. Open and follow me on Twitter as I stroll the fairways with the "those guys are good" crowd.

Tiger We Miss You!

At the risk of sounding like another male chauvinist pig, please allow me to talk about Tiger Woods, not from a moral viewpoint but just from a golf standpoint. Millions of dollars that normally support charities are being lost because golf tournament revenues are down, and that condition will continue to exist unless and until Tiger Woods comes back to regular tournament play.

Tiger may have a boatload of personal problems right now but we sure do miss the excitement that he generates with a golf game of which we have become familiar!

Golf is my bag

After spending a second career leading golf tours all over the world I finally settled down in a small town in NE Arizona. Fortunately there are some good golf courses nearby and my favorite golf course to play is Chaparral Pines. It's a great test of golf and one of the toughest golf courses you can play in Arizona's Rim Country.

After golf I sit down at my computer where I try to make a few extra pennies blogging about golf. One of my favorite sites is my very own online golf store, in fact, I like to brag about it being a "premier" online golf store. It's called Golf Smitten, (like me) an online pro shop featuring name brand golf equipment and golf accessories from such well known names in golf as: Callaway, Titleist, Taylormade, Ping, Wilson, Footjoy, Mizuno, Adams, Cleveland Golf, and many others. It's a particularly good place to shop for ladies golf items and ladies golf apparel too.
